We merge your ChurchDesk installations
The Merging Service guides you step by step – from reviewing your current installations to the finished shared installation. We also support you in defining your future structures and processes.

What we migrate for you
When we merge your installations, we fully migrate the following data into your shared ChurchDesk installation.
Calendar
Events, event categories, resources, duties, files, event comments, booking enquiries, calendar subscriptions and service-order templates.
Contacts
Contact data (fields, tags, parish association), custom contact fields, consents, filters, static lists, newsletters and Studio templates.
Groups & blogs
Group members, rotas, files, folders and messages, plus public blog posts and blog categories.
Forms
Forms including labels, files and responses.
Workflows
Cases with tasks, linked contacts, groups, users, events, forms, history and files – plus emails and email setup.
Users & roles
Users with parish association and role (including blocked and draft users), custom roles and user settings.
Mass intentions
We migrate the stipend log in full. How we merge intentions, foundations and legacies is agreed with you in the first online meeting – the number ranges have to stay unique.
Safeguarding
We migrate safeguarding data and files. Where records exist for the same person in both installations, we agree the exact approach in the first online meeting.
More data
Absences including absence types, resources and parishes, campaigns and your SMS balance (balances are merged).
More technical data we migrate
- Partners & category mapping
- Partner connections (for example EKBO, EKvW, Nordkirche) including the mapping of your categories.
- Pastoral notes
- All pastoral notes on your contacts.
- Facebook connection
- The connection to your Facebook page – provided the target installation does not already have one.
- Attendance fields
- The fields you use to record attendance at events.
- Audit logs
- The change logs, such as events created or group memberships.
- API tokens
- Existing API tokens for connected systems.
- Legal documents
- Stored legal documents – but not your privacy policy and imprint, where the target installation applies.
What is not migrated
We deliberately leave a few areas out – these need a little preparation or follow-up afterwards.
- Giving
- The entire Giving area is not migrated. You can export historical data from your existing installation beforehand.
- Websites
- Pages and widgets are not transferred and must be rebuilt in the shared installation.
- Message history
- Contacts' message history is not migrated automatically.
- Settings & legal
- Organisation settings, along with your privacy policy and imprint, are not transferred – the target installation applies.
- Time registration
- Recorded working hours are not migrated. Export the data from your existing installation beforehand if you need it.
- Terminal
- Card readers are not migrated, because the whole Giving and payments area stays outside the merge.
Shared regional work made even easier
Create events across parish boundaries, keep track of room bookings and export service overviews for the whole region. Anyone using several separate installations knows the typical friction points:
- The same data is maintained more than once
- Events, people or places are not set up consistently
- Coordination takes time
